Ah, a bit about The Plan at long last! Just kidding. I think I liked it a little bit less than Bill did, but I will admit there were some decent dramatic moments in it. My thing was, since the finale wasn’t particularly satisfying, they should have tried to fix up some of the stuff left over from that. Or just retcon it out of existence, a la how The Sarah Connor Chronicles erased T3. Totally agreed on Ron Moore as a screenwriter vs. a showrunner–I’ve been watching Deep Space Nine again and his episodes on that show are often the best ones.
Excellent analysis of Dollhouse as well. I was on board with it last season but I’ve totally lost interest. And I’m pretty sure I know the moment when that happened–it was when the dollhouse sent that electric wave that was supposed to reboot Echo or whatever and wound up pretty much being a disaster. That’s when I stopped believing in the premise of the show–i.e. that these people are so good at what they do that nobody knows about them. Subsequent developments haven’t really made me rethink that.
